The Backyard Bugs

The Backyard Bugs started as an album written by singer/songwriter Candy Lee. It was her debut kids' music album. She wrangled a group amazingly talented musician friends to record on the album and somewhere along the line, it was decided that they should dress up as bugs and play the songs live. The performance evolved into an educational, interactive show for kids complete with bug jokes and facts, dance moves, and sing-alongs. 

Though the lyrical content is about bugs, the music is amazing. It's loved by both kids and adults alike. The band includes Northwest Arkansas all-star players, Garrett Jones (Arkansas Country Music award winner for Best Bassist), Michael Schembre (who has toured with Yonder Mountain String Band), Joe Credit (The Vine Brothers, Blood on the Mandolin), and Sarah Busch (multi-instrumentalist and music teacher extraordinaire).
